Meet Ziggy, a gorgeous 1.5-year-old neutered G4 Colorado Mountain Dog from our River × Artham litter last year.

Ziggy has an incredible work ethic and is happiest when he has a job to do. His family worked hard to provide him with enrichment and purpose, but without livestock or a farm environment, he simply wasn't thriving. They made the difficult decision to return him to us so we can find him the home that truly fits his needs.

As a puppy, Ziggy was raised around chickens and goats on the homestead. In his previous home, he enjoyed daily neighborhood walks and attended doggy daycare several times each month—an environment where he truly excelled. Ziggy loves other dogs and enjoys being around animals.

At this time, we are accepting inquiries about Ziggy, but he is not yet available for placement. He will first undergo a full assessment and livestock evaluation here at the homestead to help us determine the best possible match for him.

According to his previous owners, Ziggy loves everyone and everything he meets. Based on his temperament and early exposure, we are optimistic that he will transition well back into a livestock environment. He has never challenged fencing, rides calmly in the car, walks beautifully on a leash, and generally ignores small prey animals.
